I had some success in high school and college. Winner 1985 Rod Dixon Run 

Had a fair amount of success as a Masters runner for most of my 40s. 

Short-Term Running Goals:

Have fun with running, explore more trails, stay healthy.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running and racing consistently for as long as I can. Find what is sustainable for me over the long run.

Personal:

I teach AP European History and other courses at Alta High School. I coached the track and cross country teams at Alta for 16 years.

I'm watching "Death and the Civil War" right now on The American Experience. It's being really interesting but I'm not sure how good it is for my gloomy mood these days.

Treadmill run at 7:20 pace. Then some hot tubbing, then a nap while watching the Masters.

Walked Andy to school this morning then had breakfast at Ruth's with Ann. In short, a completely civilized day.

No running today. Drove up to Lander, Wyoming for the weekend and spent the afternoon hiking and exploring Sinks Canyon State Park and then visiting the grave of Sacagawea up on the Wind River Shoshone reservation.

Dinner at the Lander Bar then watched the Jazz beat Portland here at the snazzy Pronghorn Lodge.
