I ran the Snow Joke half marathon in Seeley Lake Montana today. The course turned into an ice rink about halfway in and I was wearing the worst possible shoes. Finally returned to the plowed road with a mile to go and I was able to at least run one mile split in what was my goal for the whole race. Had I known about the course, I would have run the first 5 miles at 6:25 pace.

I did finish 5th in the 40-99 year old age group though. Imagine being the 93 year-old dude who finishes a half marathon and you're all fired up about winning your age group but then you lose to your grandson. Gotta love small town races!

Looks like the racing is clipping along nicely!

Were you in Montana just for this race?

Nice running under less than ideal conditions Rob. I assume no one 93 years old beat you today! :)

Jon - I had a 3 day weekend so I went up to visit Abby. The race was just a bonus!

Happily nobody older than me beat me Bret.

Rob, where is Abby living these days? I missed any updates on that.
