Nice run this afternoon.

Started out with an easy 1.25  miles on the treadmill then did about 10 minutes of stretching. Then I did 9 miles in 60 minutes keeping the pace around 6:30 most of the way.

Not quite a "workout", but getting there. Felt good. Hot tub after. I did this at the Sandy gym, not Sugar House, so all the jets worked in the hot tub.

Sounds like quite a workout to me.

Thanks Mark. I need to get to where 6 minute pace feels comfortable for a long time.

Do you have a specific race your working toward, or are you just trying to get into racing form?

I'm running a 5 mile race in Florida in a couple weeks. I'd like to break 30. Also have USATF cross country in February. After that I don't know.

Good luck in the race in Florida. Going from SLC to Florida, you will be full of energy, so as long as the heat and humidity don't get to you, you should have a great race. Also, in going from SLC to Florida you will be able to get rid of winter sweats etc. Instant weight loss without muscle loss.
