It's crazy how many people were watering their lawns this morning after our inch of rain last night. #utahans

I like when the sprinklers are pointed in a direction that waters the concrete sidewalks too. That's a great use of resources.

I assume you saw the report from a few days ago that showed Utah has the highest rate of per capita water wasting. I was not the least bit surprised!

I'm amazed you guys have Florida beat. I'm betting most people water each zone in Utah for 15 minutes or so. Out here, 45 minutes per zone easily, since the ground is practically sand. To keep the prototypical St. Augustine lawn, you need to dump water through the ground constantly.

And yeah, we like watering our sidewalks too.

I can't speak to the specifics of watering practices Drew, but I can tell you that we have sand... Utah is a DESERT state... which people don't seem to want to accept :-)

church lawns and golf courses -- gotta keep them green.

my favorite scenario is when sprinklers water the pavement DURING a rainstorm (and sometimes snowstorm) -- i saw it all the time, even in places like liberty and SHP.
