12.25 miles in 1:30. Threw in 5 x 3 minutes on two minutes off just for grins. Averaged 5:40 pace for the hard efforts. This was all on the road loop in Sugarhouse.

Just not feeling it this week. I did get my hair cut today which helped a little. Long hair makes me feel slow - I'm not kidding about that.

Need to drop three or four pounds before Boston. This will help me far more than any one magic workout will.

Nice day. 60, sunny, not too much wind.

I agree on the hair. That's why I shave it down the night before every race.

A 90 mile run would burn enough calories to make you drop 3-4 lbs, so TECHNICALLY there is a magic workout that would accomplish what you want. Just run through the finish line of the race on Saturday, keep going to Spanish Fork, then turn around and come back. That'll get ya ready.

Excellent advice Jake. When will you be establishing a web based coaching site where you can dispense gems like that for $?

Rob, picked up the phone to call you tonight and noticed the time was 10pm in Utah. Good run. The rest will be good for you. Enjoy it.

I'm not going to do it on the web. I feel like the internet is a passing fad. Eventually we'll all go back to fax machines - so that is where I'm going to focus my coaching... it will be a fax-based service.

You're probably right. I'm feeling like the internet has run it's course.

Jake - when we go to the Portland Track Festival are you going to cut your hair on Thursday night AND Friday night? It might get a little long for the 5K...
