This easily had to be one of my best Christmas runs ever. Ann drove me east on I-80 towards Park City and dropped me off in East Canyon by the entrance to the gun range. I ran through the canyon to the top of Little Mountain and then through Emmigration Canyon back into Salt Lake. Normally this would be a 16 mile run, but I kept taking little side roads and detours along the way plus a couple laps around my neighborhood to make it an even 20.

No traffic, sunny, about 20 degrees at the start and 40 at the finish, Roads were free of ice and the snow was beautiful. Glad I remembered my sun glasses.

20 miles in 2:28:03 (7:24 average)

I'm really pleased with this week. 86 miles total in only seven runs - no doubles. That might be my highest mileage total ever for a week. Definitely since the 80's. Feel good too, no aches or pains.

Nice week Rob. Amazing total mileage with no doubles - may explain the lack of soreness - with more recovery between runs. Merry Christmas!

You're probably right Bret. I'm off this week so I'm really taking it easy when not running, taking naps as well. When I'm at work I'm always on my feet, busy at practice after school.

I should be a professional runner. Yeah... that's the ticket!

Merry Christmas to you guys too. Heading out for a post-dinner family walk around the neighborhood now.
