Gotta love motivational parents...and the future leaers they are raising. Can they be much worse than the idiots we have in Washington, though?

:) That's funny. My wife was saying she is worried about parent teacher conference today because one of the fathers is going to come in and get mad at her cause he can't figure out the math. First of all, it's 4th grade. Britt's response was going to be, "You're not suppose to figure it out, it's your kids homework"

Oh, and Happy Birthday!

I imagine you have seen a version of this circulating, but it speaks directly to your post:

...and when they get to college: "why is your class so hard? i shouldn't have to do hard things."

just today i had a student tell me she was going to drop my class because she didn't want to "deal" with the assigned course project.

Thanks everyone.

Allie - It's all part of the process of natural selection don't you think? The weak pull themselves out of the game before it even starts.
