A good one tonight...6.5 miles on the trail in City Creek Canyon during Andy's baseball practice then lots of push-ups, ab stuff, and lunges at the park after.

Andy turns 12 tomorrow and Abby turns 17 in a few weeks. Andy is still a little boy in lots of ways but that's not gonna last long. Doesn't it seem like when your kids are young that it's going to stay like that forever? Then poof, it's gone.

Happy to be feeling good and running stronger the last couple weeks. I'm learning to not take any run for granted.

Happy birthday to Andy - glad you had a good run too.

Happy birthday to Andy.

I have a 12 year old, too. I talk to him about grown-up stuff - N. Korea, Confederate monuments, etc., really heavy topics.

Then, out of nowhere, he tells me that he wants to be a ninja for Halloween, and I remember that he's 12, and smile. I wish the un-jaded years could last longer than they do. Not forever, but just a bit longer.
