22 miles in 2:39. It was a hard run today with a lot of hills and I struggled, mentally at least, more than I have in my previous long runs this year. Hopefully it was the hard training on Friday and Saturday. Anyway, it was still nice to get another long run "in the bank".

Finished up at Liberty Park and met mom, Ann, and the kids at the playground. They had the kiddie water fountains and guysers shooting out of the ground on finally and Andy had lots of fun running through them and getting soaked. Had a late lunch/early dinner at the Olive Garden for Mother's Day. The kids made both Ann and grandma breakfast in bed this morning.

Hey Rob, I noticed you put in 22 miles today, how did you like the new heat wave today. It could have been the heat that caused the struggle. Hey, are you doing UVM? Did you get into SGM. Keep up the good training......

Hey Tom, it's good to have a comment from a new guy. I noticed you live in Sandy - I work there but live in Salt Lake. I am doing Utah Valley in June. I've never done it before, but have heard good things. I'll probably never do St. George as long as I'm coaching high school cross country as its always the same weekend as our region meet. Good luck to you in the next few weeks.

Hey Rob, thanks for the note. That was a good line. I think my favorite is: If he had had his way, nobody who did not know how to catch a fish... would be allowed to disgrace a fish by catching it.

Just find it funny.
