Way less sore this morning than usual after a marathon. I guess that's what happens when you race at your training pace.

My foot really hurts though and I think it will be a while before I can run again. Checking the weather - looks like tomorrow will be perfect for running the Boston Marathon.

I'm going to do a lot of thinking over the next few days about where I am going to go with my running. I really want to be doing this for the next thirty or forty years. One thing for sure is that the marathon won't be the focus of my training and racing. If I ever run another good one , It will be completely by accident.

I hope the foot is ok. I like the idea of focusing on different distances. Trails still in the plans? Enjoy your recovery.

Since my accident I've found enjoyment just running whatever I feel each day. What's fun about that is some days I may decide to run faster and then days I just take an easy pace. No set training schedule or worrying about hitting times for a marathon.

Just try enjoying it without training and see what you feel like doing next. Great job in Boston with the heat.
