I had some success in high school and college. Winner 1985 Rod Dixon Run 

Had a fair amount of success as a Masters runner for most of my 40s. 

Short-Term Running Goals:

Have fun with running, explore more trails, stay healthy.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running and racing consistently for as long as I can. Find what is sustainable for me over the long run.

Personal:

I teach AP European History and other courses at Alta High School. I coached the track and cross country teams at Alta for 16 years.

Odd thing about my sore, achy knees. They seem to hurt a lot less when I run fast. So I'm going to do that at Boston.

Seriously, while I was warming up at 9 minute pace they really hurt. As soon as I jacked it up to 6 minute pace, no pain.

the same thing happens to me every time run in the low 6's. everything feels good. too bad i can't run around like that all the time.

i had some problems with runner's knee earlier this winter... it only bothered me when i was running slow... on workouts it would always feel completely normal

Alberto Salazar has an autobiography coming out. I read an excerpt in RW last night. Probably going to be a good read. And yes I guess I am saying I got something positive out of reading Runners World, in-between the ads for obstacle course race.

Yeah I've been surprised by that magazine - there is usually one article that makes me flip back to the cover and confirm that I am actually reading runners world and not running times.
