I left the house at 6:15 this morning because I planned to run a lot of the D News marathon course in Emigration Canyon and I knew the canyon would be clogged with bikers if I started too late. Also planned to finish my run at Ruth's Diner and meet Ann and the kids for breakfast and if you get there too late you have to wait forever for an outside table.

Ran 20 miles. From my house to the top of Little Mountain (14 miles uphill), then back down the Canyon to Ruth's. Took a shower in the bathroom sink at Ruth's, changed clothes, and had a big plate of banana walnut french toast.

Rob- nice running! I was going to shoot you an email about maybe doing a Tuesday tri-meet out in Herriman on Sept. 13. We have a sweet course set up for our invite on Sept. 24 and want to try it out early. I know some coaches aren't into the week day meets, but my team is so young I was going to try a few. Anyway, Hillcrest and Mountain View have mentioned they want to come, and I thought I would see if Alta wanted to join us too. Let me know.

Hey James. I will tentatively accept. But wouldn't that make it a quad-meet?

I didn't know that you were having an invitational. I'm really out of the loop.

Impressive mileage week Rob - got that race course memorized down to minute detail by now I imagine. I like the "shower pill" clean up to meet with my family for meals after runs or races too. Not so sure it "takes."

WOW!!!! What an AWESOME run to finish up a GREAT mileage week! And FABULOUS reward at Ruth's Diner with your sweetheart! :)

Bret - A "shower" in the sink would definitely NOT be adequate after a 20 miler in Florida in July.

Smooth - Thanks. And today's our 17th Anniversary too. Pretty romantic right? Breakfast with the kids after a 20 miler.

HAPPY 17th Anniversary! Well, you'll have to redeem yourself with the romantic part! Ann is a real jewel! I know I wouldn't settle for breakfast with the kids...the 20 miler is A-OK! :)

We actually oficially celebrated last week when we were in Minnesota and had the in-laws handy to babysit.

Sweet run, I got in too late to call you back tonight.
