I had some success in high school and college. Winner 1985 Rod Dixon Run 

Had a fair amount of success as a Masters runner for most of my 40s. 

Short-Term Running Goals:

Have fun, not get fat, stay fit.

Long-Term Running Goals:

 Keep running in some fashion.


I teach AP European History and other courses at Alta High School. I coached the track and cross country teams at Alta for 16 years.

Eight hilly, sandy miles in the gully over lunch. Ran in shorts and a t-shirt. Beautiful day and high enough up on the East Bench to be above the inversion.

PM: 5.25 miles around SHP (cool new abbreviation for Sugarhouse Park. And yes, I know this explanation completely cancels out the benefit) and the HH track.

Amazing that the trails are still in this kind of condition.

We're gonna meet @ Tanner Park on Saturday... run a loop up on Wasatch Blvd to get above the gunk.

FYI we changed the plan and we're going down to Provo tomorrow...

I do like the SHP abbreviation and think I'm going to start using it. Maybe even get a SHP bumper sticker for my car. I can put it next to the "3.1" sticker that I'm going to get when I finally break 15 minute.
