What a difference four years makes...

In Beijing the men's 800 was won in 1:44:65. That would have earned last place in this year's final. Both Solomon and Symmonds ran 1:42 and failed to medal.

Dreaming of the 2016 racewalk olympic trials?

From Jake K on Thu, Aug 09, 2012 at 13:36:58 from 155.100.226.54

holy hell, I about jumped out of my seat watching that at work... glad it was only a 2 minute race and no one was around to see my reaction.

Inspiring to say the least.

I like the way guys are running this year. I don't think we've had one of those slow paced, super tactical races that the Olympics are infamous for. Guys are going for it!

And medal or not, the U.S. men are definitely competitive again across the board. Can't wait for the 5000.

I was just going to ask you if I was watching the right Olympics... let me get this straight... the USA men are better at 800m / 1500m / 10K than the 400m?!?! What is happening!??

5K is going to be fast - I have a feeling

200m lived up to the hype, too. Great day of T&F and then next couple days are only going to be better, w/ the W-1500m, the 5Ks, and the marathon.

I really wish I had as much time as you guys..
