I had some success in high school and college.
Had a fair amount of success as a Masters runner for most of my 40s.
Short-Term Running Goals:
Have fun, not get fat, stay fit.
Long-Term Running Goals:
Keep running in some fashion.
I teach AP U.S. History and other courses at Alta High School. I also coach the track and cross country teams at Alta.

3 X 1 mile in 5:21, 5:18, 5:15. Five minute jog interval.
Four miles of warming up and cooling down.
Nice! Just think, if you kept that 3-second decrease for about 25 more reps, you'd be sub 4! Sweet.
I'm pretty sure that at 5:12 my lungs and heart would have exploded.
Wow Rob - was that on a track or treadmill? Very fast miles for an old dude!
That was on the treadmill. I'm not man enough to do that on the track.
But I did keep a 1.5-2 % grade.
