15 miles in 1:56 - all of it on the trails up at Quinn's Junction east of Park City. What a great place to run! For much of the run I was thinking about how I live in the best place to train in the country. I was actually feeling sad for runners that don't live here.

My racing season just opened up/changed quite a bit as I failed to renew my USATF membership on time this year and won't be eligible for the circuit. Too bad since I think I could have finished second in the masters standings this year.

On a positive note, it looks like the U.S.A is not going to yield first place in the obesity race to Mexico without a fight. Twinkies returned to the shelves at Walmart today after a one year absence. I was saddened to read this week that Mexico had surpassed us as the #1 fatty nation. I don't like being #2. Thee return of twinkies is a small step in the right direction.

How did you APUSH kids do? Mine, worst year ever - blah.

Lol regarding your obesity comments!

I agree, there is no better place on earth to train than here.

Great week!

I don't think I know what Quinn's Junction is. I'm guessing I need to check this place out.

It's where the 15k trail race you're running is. Also Park City High's XC course.

Oh, I call that Round Valley. I know it well. Those trails are a nice change of pace sometimes from Jeremy Ranch.

There's a gazillion trail options out there - lots of nice wide trails but lots of single track as well. You could get lost if it weren't so wide open where you can see for miles.

Nice week of training Rob! - I am sad for me that I do not train in Utah.

They fry Twinkies at the state fair here. Haven't tried one yet.

That's raising the bar Bob. I like it.

Do they serve it on a stick?

From Bob on Sat, Jul 13, 2013 at 19:41:48 from 67.176.195.62

The one I saw was not on a stick. Not sure it would stay on one at that point.
