Today marks 20 years since I ran my first Deseret News 10k. It's Pioneer Day in Utah which used to be a big day on this now moribund blog. I wore my Wasatch Running (RIP Wasatch Running Center) singlet and thought about how nothing stays the same.

My goal was either to break 40 minutes or win my age group and I didn't do either but I enjoyed the race. No doubt I could have dipped under 40 if I had only run faster!  Walk/jogged home from Liberty Park.

Pretty nice race Rob. So they did the event a day ahead instead of the day after this year with Pioneer Day falling on Sunday?

Nice Job Rob!

I was thinking about the Marathon runners this morning when I looked towards the mountains as the sun came up. I was just starting my ride. I have completed the Des News Marathon over a dozen times so this morning was bittersweet since I cannot run anymore....

What happened to Wasatch Running Center?

Jon - It sold out to the Salt Lake Running Company.

Nice race, Rob. "Now moribund blog" is well put. I was just checking out race reports, which I almost never read these days expect for a few of my people I keep an eye on.
