Andy and I went down to South Jordan to race a long course 5k (3.21 miles).

My splits were 6:43, 7:16 (big hill!), 6:30, 1:12. Almost caught the 4th place guy the last quarter mile.

I love that you still get out and compete. Good for you, Rob.

I just love it! There's this new dimension to racing now that I would have done anything to experience when I was in high school or college. Then there was a lot of anxiety and dread associated with racing but now I just feel gratitude and joy at being with like minded people and mixing it up a bit.

I honestly feel a little sadness when the finish line comes into view.

Nice race Rob - very cool that Andy joined you too.
