"The FRB is dead" I keep reading. For me it's more about whether this is still a good place to keep track of my workouts. I think it is so I'll keep blogging here as long as running remains important to me. So pretty much forever.

What is dead can never die!

Ha ha James!

It's a Bumma to lose the great community we once had. It helped me become a once decent runner, but even more importantly get know a lot of awesome people and go on some amazing adventures.

However, a lot of us are still around doing are thing and making the frb a cool place to post and follow running.

Death is just an opinion. I like to think the blog will have life on it as long as it has people who love running, whether they started their blogs in 2005 or 2015.

I clicked on your name Eugene and there was no blog to read.

Huh, it doesn't show my blog to be private..

The life of the FRB has changed many times over the years I have been here. Different crowd now...not dead just different and still providing the same opportunity...a chance to share a passion for running.

Lots of other sites..sexier maybe but not as support from others oriented.

agree -- maybe a bit quieter, but never dead! it's great tool. there is *so much* information on FRB -- so many threads packed with knowledge about running and life (also a lot of nonsense, but it's funny).

and rob, your quantcast is still above 200, so you're single-handedly keeping this place buzzing. good thing you are here pretty much forever.

Not dead. Traffic is way down, and general commenting (especially the Discussion Forum). But still has a dedicated core, plus a lot of others.

Eva, my feelings have been that the average age might be pretty young now, as Holt, Rob, etc have led to a lot of high schoolers using it. Maybe just my misguided observations.

I still enjoy it, though I am running less (almost none- my Mileage board obsession is dead) and don't spend as much time following and socializing as I did 8 years ago. But it's still a positive in my life and I don't plan on that changing.

I'll keep logging on mine as well, for the same reasons...it is a great place to log and track. I doubt anyone reads mine, but that doesn't matter because it is just for me at this point. More of a journal I guess. We should get out for a run sometime, Rob.
